This forum has been set up for musicians, promoters, fans, etc. to share info about confirmed upcoming Live Electronic/Experimental Music shows (aka "Live PA") occurring in the Gainesville-area of Florida. Off-topic comments and/or events focusing on non-electronic music should not be posted here as there are already numerous other mailing-lists, newsgroups, websites and message boards devoted to them.

A supplemental forum has been set up here for the announcement of electronic music-related events which do not feature live performances (ie, dj events, dance nights, listening parties, parties, aftershow parties, record releases, radio shows, viewings, etc.).

Negative comments aimed at the Event, Musicians, Performers, Promoters, Venues should not be posted here during the promotional period (ie, the days leading up to the show itself). Active campaigning against a show (or its performers) in this forum will not be tolerated and will be subject to deletion. Hijacking a topic in order to promote a unassociated event or further an agenda is also subject to deletion.

Hyping of an upcoming event, still in it's planning stages, with an unconfirmed line-up is also frowned upon. For the sake of consideration in sharing the limited space of the state-wide "Live Events" section, please make all of these types of announcements in the "General Discussion" section. Indicators to the Administrator would be continually changing line-ups, minor re-editing of flyers, and the "bumping" of the topic with no new/informative information added.

Reviews and positive and/or dissenting views are welcome once the event has concluded. Show photos and links to video footage may be posted in their respective Live Events listing, or in the catch-all "Photos & Videos Of Shows" section. In order to remain consistent and fair, and to provide for more uniform browsing the Subject line should follow this format:

MM/DD/YY: Event>> Musician Name / Musician Name @Venue

Any subject line not following this format will be edited. For instance, "ALL CAPS!!! will be corrected to read "All Caps". Save the excitement and colorful expressions for the Message Body.

The content and formatting of the Message Body will be up to the poster, but for everyone's benefit it is asked that at least the following information be provided:

• Event Name
• Musicians Performing
• Date
• Venue Name
• Venue Address
• Town/City
• Time Doors Open
• Price
• Age Requirement

Any other information is also welcome, such as:

• Promoter Info
• Event Flyer
• Band Descriptions
• Band URLs
• Other Performers' Information (ie, DJs, MCs, performance troupes, visualists, etc.)
• etc.

Any suggestions and/or comments should be addressed in the "Suggestions" topic.
